The Degrees of Freedom (DF) Upgrade Kit is an anti-pedal kickback system that lives in your DT Swiss DEG hub, quietly decoupling your chain from every movement of the rear shock. It’s a lightweight, low maintenance, and easily adjustable system that gives DT Swiss DEG hub riders chain-less performance with no compromise. Choose between 0, 10, and 20 of rotation depending on your personal preference, and the system requires no more maintenance than a classic DEG Ratchet system.

Compatible with all Ratchet DEG hubs (350/240). DEG Hubs were introduced in 2024, and previous generation Ratchet EXP or Pawl style DT Swiss hubs are not compatible with the DF system.

The Upgrade Kit includes:

1x DEG DF Inner Ratchet
1x DEG Outer Ratchet
2x DEG Springs
1x Special Grease 20g

For installation, a DT Swiss Threadring tool is required, but not included in this kit. We offer an identical DF kit that includes this tool if you need it.
